Where Our Data Comes From
PetrolPal sources its fuel price data directly from the UK Government Fuel Finder API, the same official dataset used by government-backed price comparison services. This data covers over 7,000 petrol stations across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland and is refreshed every 10 minutes.
Electric vehicle charging data comes from Open Charge Map, the world's largest open registry of EV charging locations, updated daily. Route calculations are powered by OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) for accurate driving distances and times.
We believe in transparency: PetrolPal is built and operated by Recurse LTD, a UK-registered company. The service is free to use, with no ads and no hidden data selling.
